Exhibition: Birds and Butterflies out of the Blue

Jan Westerhof is a known Dutch artist, who has created an uplifting collection of spiritual paintings. The name of this collection is: Birds and Butterflies - "Out of the Blue".
Jan Westerhof was inspired to paint three different stages of spiritual awareness.

The first stage: "Out of the blue" is literally a blue current of images. The color blue is both a symbol for Contemplation and the Aquarius Period. In these paintings of blue, wings appeared spontaneously. Wings as symbol for the Soul. Wings which will take the spectator to stage 2: "Emanations of the Eagle",
in which the artiste uses "The Eagle" as a way to travel to
-as he calls it- "The Landscapes of the Soul".

In the final stage (stage 3) and at the same time at the highest level, the wings change into an even higher and finer vibration. They take on colors and shapes of a Butterfly-like being, and is the transformation (for the time being) complete....

"Once upon a time Zhuang Zhou dreamt that he was a butterfly. He felt content and happy about himself and as completely absorbed in being a butterfly. He did not know he was Zhuang Zhou. Suddenly he awoke and he was unmistakably Zhang Zhou, lying on his bed. The only thing he didn't know was if he was Zhuang Zhou, who had dreamt of being a butterfly, or if he was a butterfly dreaming to be Zhuang Zhou."

From: "The Butterfly", A quote from the Zhuagzi

Jan Westerhof's dream is to share the light and the feeling of understanding and connection he experienced in making these paintings, with as many people as possible all over the world.
To make this happen he is looking for people who have exhibition space, with a serene and open atmosphere. At the moment the collection is still touring The Netherlands.
